25 years of solo living & budgeting is now the secret ingredient my husband and I are using to build our dream life in the sun. Getting married over 50 for the first time is a definite seasonal shift!
After years of professional coaching, training and leading large teams of smart people, I know this to be true; creating your flexible home economic system is guaranteed to take a mental load off you.

What makes me the right person?
I don’t know anyone who’s “had it easy” nor anyone who hasn’t made a few financial mistakes, myself included. Learning about this stuff is a one stage at a time operation and I know a lot of people who wish they had mastered the basics of creating a good foundation for their hard earned income, especially when things go wrong, a long time ago.
Buying my first flat at 25 years old I had to learn fast how to take care of every penny. Friends of mine were buying gorgeous cars, having holidays and putting most things on credit. The thought of that scared me, even though I have had to use credit from time to time, like needing a new boiler costing £5k, it was something I never wanted to get into long term.
A few years ago, one of my first clients had lost her husband and had no idea how to run the paperwork side of homekeeping.
We found her council tax information and online credit file, sorted out her utility bills and went on from there. I knew she wouldn’t be the only one in this situation and I realised I wanted to be the one who could gently, patiently help them back onto an independent footing. Anyone needing to get their chaotic life admin together can rely on me to support them.
I’m practical, pragmatic, a good listener and I always ask those questions that make you have to dig deep to think about the real answer.
